Each one of us has lived all over the world all all found ourselves in Baja California Sur, Mexico, a place we all deeply connect to. We each understand living in a foreign country and far from home. We all have nomadic souls and appreciate adventurous souls. We bring that spirit to our design every day.
We help our clients design spaces that match their lifestyles and procure the best products for their designs. We have developed industry relationships and resources to bring México’s one-of-a-kind authenticity to every project. Our manufacturers and artisans encompass originality and functionality from real, local producers – not catalogs or large factories. Our products are of the highest quality and capture our client's unique vision. Our creative, multilingual, boots-on-the-ground team manages your logistics and listens to your needs, no matter where you are in the world. MERCANTIL is located in Todos Santos Baja California Sur (about one hour north of Cabo San Lucas, México), and we have two divisions, Residential design services and Hospitality. We work on projects throughout the Baja California Sur region, throughout México, and the United States.

CEO and Creative Director
Hillary Kent graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City with a BFA in Interior Design. Her diverse design background ranges from working as a residential designer for Architectural Digest Top 100 Design firms and as an Executive for prominent textile and furniture companies. Her creativity draws from collaborating with global retail and hotel brands and apprenticing under some of the best product designers in home design industry. Her refined but eclectic interiors draws from her deep love of traveling to over 26 countries, living in New York City and now calling México home. She had no idea that one vacation to Baja in 2020 would steal her heart forever and she would never look back.
